Welcome to GLS4O!

Here you will be required to respond to and discuss readings and course material with your colleagues and facilitators. There are required blog reponse assignments that you will find in your course outline that will be graded. Here, we ask you to respond to the weekly assignment but we also encourage you to discuss additional ideas, feelings, thoughts, and opinions with your peers and facilitators. This blog is a way to bring all four sections/facilitators of GLS40 together as a large group so that we can share diverse thoughts and ideas with one another.

Please take a moment to introduce yourself to the group. Include whether you are university or college bound, which program you are entering, and any thoughts/concerns/ideas you have about taking this course. This does not count as your first Blog Response and will not be graded.

We are looking forward to an educationally exciting fall in GLS40!

Happy Blogging,

Audrie and Jenna

Your Facilitators

  3. Hi, I'm Chris and I'm an alcoholic. Wait, wrong group. I am currently awaiting a decision regarding my future plans. If all goes well I'll be attending the University of Windsor for music theory and then Fanshawe College for Music Industry Arts. I love music. If you cut me open my blood will sing. Ok, maybe that was exaggeration but you get the point. It would be very exciting to have a career that I actually enjoy so I'm hoping this plan gets the green light. My concerns are, as always, physical limitations. If the workload is heavy I'll be in big trouble.

  4. Hi, my name is Tammie I have just starting in this GLS course. I have heard from some of the previous students that it was quite overwhelming at times.I guess I will just have to wait and find out for myself. I am heading to Trios College in January to take Medical Assitant. I am sure this class is going to give me the tools I need to be sucessful. Good Luck to all.

  7. Hi, my name is Kevin. I am currently taking the GLS course to prepare myself for college. I am starting at St. Clair College in Chatham in January 2011. During this course I am hoping to gain knowledge of how to adapt in the classroom environment so that I will be prepared and succeed in my new adventure in life.
